Delicate Arch hikeorama
Taken with the balloon about 100' (30M) overhead, with the camera pointing straight down. It took almost 400 shots on the hike, about 1/3 of which were used. The 2G card filled up just as I came around the corner into the arch area, after the 1.6 mile/2.5km, 400'/125m raise in elevation. This was put together in segments in Autopano. Then the segments together in Photoshop. If ever I have had a shot that needs to be looked at in original size, this is it. But it is quite big, and you need to scroll around to follow it. I would say that this is hysterically accurate to within +/- 20%. The Autopano outputs varied a lot in size from one to the next, and also the perspectives changes severely when they were mashed together. It was a lot of pushing, pulling, and twisting to get it together in photoshop, not always with stellar results. All in all it was an interesting project. I can think of more situations I might try this at, and as always I think my next go would have some improvements. I am already wondering if this one needs another try.
