I'll catch you when the current lets you go.

I spent the most amazing afternoon out in a little glade of trees, west of town.

All of the trees here are already turning gold, and losing their leaves. Autumn is my favorite, favorite time of year, ever. I already have my Halloween costume picked out and ready to make (I usually sew my own). My birthday is the day after Halloween, which has always amped up the excitement level of Halloween.

The wonderful, rich autumny smell of all those fallen leaves would put any "Falling Leaves" candle to shame.

There will be many more from this shoot quite soon.

I'm not entirely sure whether tramping around this spot is trespassing or not, but I'm hoping not. Some guy pulled up and started unloading hunting gear, and I decided to make my exit just in case he was coming to defend his property.
