    Hi bluebernadine-
Thanks for sharing with "museum watchers." Can you tell us a little more about this place?
  • bluebernadine 9y

The painting is called The Last Judgment, by Peter Paul Rubens (1577-1640), from the year 1617.
The Alte Pinakothek is one of the oldest and most outstanding art galleries in the world, focusing on European paintings from the 14th-18th centuries. It offers a wide and representative collection of European art, the Flamish and German painters of the Middle Ages, the Italians of the Renaissance, English, French and Spanish painters. The the Dutch masters of the 17th century are very well represented, with some of Rembrandts best paintings. The exhibitions rooms are very beautifuly designed. I enjoyed my visit very much.. If you are in München, do not miss it.
