An early one for Halloween, or late if you use my calendar (no comments Marlene :-)) One of the Ravens at the Wildwood Trust. Shot through the aviary mesh. A superstitions in the UK surrounding Ravens is that they protect the Crown and the Tower itself. If they should ever leave the Tower, the Crown will fall and Britain with it. So, just to be on the safe side a 'flock' of seven Ravens are held at the Tower, which is still officially a royal residence, with the flight feathers on one wing clipped so they cannot fly away. I amsure the captive pair at Wildwood would step into the breach if the Tower's Ravens were to 'disappear'!!
