Yeah. When I saw the episode last night I was like "What the F!!! They have an iPhone before I do and there stranded on an island..."

    6. eay 85 months ago | reply

... and they already have it in 2004.

It might mean that time passes slower on the island, so it's 2008 in the outside world already...

The little satelite icon two underneath the Mac Home icon is the Mac's Microsoft Remote Desktop Connection icon. I imagine there's more that were lifted from OSX, but I'm too lazy to check.

definitely consciously mimicking the iPhone interface, but not too closely: unlike the real iPhone, the calendar icon is not iCal-like. it was a nice touch, though.

I know people that watch LOST like to scrutinize the details, so tell me this: why are there Windows icons in the top-right corner of the screen? Those are clearly the signal strength, synchronized, and volume icons from pretty much any Windows PDA.

So that's why Leopard has been delayed... Apple are getting into the prop business...

Well you know apple test their stuff out in movies and tv. In vanilla sky their was an iSight before it came out. Then in an episode of the X-files they were using ichat video chatting capabilities before it even hit the public.

Aren't the events on the island taking place in late 2004? Maybe the girl came from the future.

You know, the casing for the phone itself reminds me a little bit of the Apple Newton, just skinnier, and thicker, and without rubberized plastic material...

So, whoever crashed the chopper must be working for someone... who was experimenting with Windows Mobile/OS X hybrid operating systems on the island! And merging the code of the two systems must be what produced the heinous black smoke monster! :p
