On April 3, a flock of 10-15 Cedar Waxwings, Bombycilla cedrorum, descended on a male Silver Maple, Acer saccharinum, and began eating the flowers. Two of the birds seemed to be paired as one stretched its wing. (c) Dave Spier [low-res preview of cropped image]
