Male Silver Maple (Acer saccharinum) flowers are prolific pollen producers because they depend on the wind for pollination. Given my allergies, I wish the Cedar Waxwings (Bombycilla cedrorum) would eat all of them. Taken in northern Ontario County, NY, in early spring. © Dave Spier [low-res preview, from original image = 2421 X 2030 pixels]
