Auroras over Þorlákshöfn.

The northern lights at the south coast of Iceland, the village of Þorlákshöfn in the far distance. The lights came very late that night, although some weaker lights had appeared somewhat earlier and I had already given up my location near a church that I intended to use in the foreground. On my way home I saw all at once that the 'main course' had begun, so I stopped my car in the middle of nowhere and hurried to take some pictures without having time to look for an interesting foreground. The auroras did not last long however.
