cherry pie with crumble topping
Recipe:
1 pie crust
Filling:
* 4 cups pitted fresh cherries
* 1/2 cup sugar
* 1/4 cup flour
* 1/4 teaspoon salt
* 1/4 teaspoon ground cinnamon
* 1 tablespoon lemon juice
Topping:
* 1/2 cup sugar
* 1/4 cup brown sugar
* 1/2 cup all-purpose flour
* 1/4 teaspoon ground cinnamon
* 3 tablespoons cold butter or margarine
1. Roll out pie dough for 1 9-inch pie pan
2. Mix filling ingredients together, place inside pie crust
3. Mix topping ingredients together, cut in butter until it comes together to form large crumbs & sprinkle on top of pie
4. Bake at 375 for 40-50 minutes, until crust is golden
This is my first pie ever & I can't wait to eat it. I'm off to the store to get more cherries to make another one.
