Have you been drinking muddy water?
This was a saying I heard growing up and means you are blocking someone's view.
This week for Happy Caturday the theme is "We are cat people". I was supposed to be on vacation this weekend down in DC meeting my brother and his wife flying out of San Francisco. Late in the day on Thursday, United Airlines cancelled their flight and so we cancelled our plans to drive down to DC. All this is to say, since I hadn't planned to be here for Happy Caturday, I didn't photograph my cats at home. For better or for worse, our home is more cat-friendly than people-friendly but it doesn't make for wonderful photos. I'm sparing you pictures of multiple litter boxes in a guest bathroom and in a guest bedroom. I'll spare you the furniture that is more scratched up than the scratching posts and the feeding stations in the kitchen and in a second spare bedroom. I'll further spare you the cat towers that are old and covered in fur that block the view out the the bedroom windows. Instead, I'll share a photo of Alexander Hamilton blocking my view of the computer monitor at work. All of us employees try to work around him. I don't think it has occurred to anyone to move him out of the way when working on the computer.
