Project 365 Day 7: Drops

07-01-10 I am an impatient man. I took this today without waiting for the best light. I think it turned out OK but it had the potential to be better. I think this is the first lesson I have learned from this project. That's why I'm doing it I suppose. I have been waiting this shot for a couple of days now. Its the drops from the melting snow on my my balcony. Taken with my 50mm f2.8 macro lens, imported into Lightroom, fixed the levels and uploaded here. Not my best picture ever but one that taught me something. Those kind of photos are worth a lot.

Manual Page Read: page 114 - Setting image size and quality. Apparently my camera can shoot in a 16:9 aspect ratio. That may come in handy when I try some time-lapse work.

Images Viewed: Today's blog recommendation is Photocritic. Always some good articles on there. Whilst walking through town yesterday I noticed there is a free photographic exhibition by Robert Mapplethorpe at The Graves Gallery. When I have time I will definately be checking that out.

Other Inspiration: This and this.
