Side-By-Side Zenobia-Ikomat 1
The Zenobia is an improved model of the Waltax, which was a direct copy by Daiichi Optical Company (DOC) of the Zeiss Ikonta A.
On the left is the C-II model, manufactured 1954-55. It still retains it's Zeiss heritage, while making some changes in functionality and design.
There is now a solid viewfinder integrated into a top plate with an accessory shoe, film winding knob, and Depth Of Field calculator. The body is a bit taller because of the new top plate, and the lens door is deeper to accomodate the longer barrel of the Neo-Hesper four element Tessar type.
