During the day the ghosts are weeping
Another visit to Friendly, West Virginia and the former home of Dr. J. O'Neill Eddy, built in 1880. Since my last visit in October 2010, the ground around the house has been cleared of weeds and overgrowth, exposing the stone entryways of the porches that once connected them to the dwelling. The past year has taken away more of its borrowed life and I found it to be in much worse condition than I remembered. What marvelous memories these ruins must hold.
