CTA Stockyards 10 Jeffrey Wein photo dupe slide

CTA South Side L, looking west from the platform at Indiana. The Stockyards L tracks are at left (with a pair of 4000s heading out onto the branch) and the Chicao Junction Railway is at right.

 

Note all the sidings off the CJRy; under the L train at right you can see a hopper on a siding- at one point the large building on the other side of the L tracks was a powerhouse for the L and there was also a siding on the L tracks (reference Plate 24 on page 251 in CERA Bulletin 115, Chicago's Rapid Transit, Volume II).
