But surprises in Antibes were not finished. After the spectacular walk always with eyes filled with blue, we reached the beach. Passing by, there was a little placard near a bench. It was protected by, curious I thought ! So I stepped back to the bench ...that's what I read and saw.
"Claude Monet, Antibes, 1888" (a reproduction of course :)!).
Wow!!!!!!.. Maybe he was sitting here long time ago painting this oil on canvas and me, here, with the possibility to compare it with the view, now..!!! So happy for discover it !
Despite the shadows on the glass (sorry is not perfect trees moved always in wind I have one more with the placard, but this I think can fill better eyes..!!!) seems so real, (great gradation of the sea..the tower!!).

This is so beautiful, MariAnna. At first sight I thought: what a mighty beautiful impressionist treatment she has given to the photo. Then, reading the text, I realized that the origin lies in Monet.
But you give it an even preciser impressionist touch by way of the reflections of the glass.
And maybe The great Claude Monet painted this lovely canvas imagining that one day a beautiful roman girl would find such happiness in contemplating this same landscape and his painting :))

That Monet sure had an eye for landscapes huh? This is a cool picture.. I agree the tree shadows add to it's intense awesomeness. Must have been cool to feel the same stone under your toes as such a great Impressionist master. It was an excellent idea of theirs to post this placard on the spot.

thanks for fave and for this comment Angy, like talk with you :)!..and tooooo kind!!
      1) to have tought also for one second that was my teatment :)!!..
      2) reflection on the glass was there even if you wanted or not. The reproduction was on white stone (don't know if marble but something near) with the glass over .. I only take care to frame the photo with trees' shadows, saving the center by them...
      3) Claude Monet and the roman girl ..make me smile.. :DD! na, na, but sure as artist he wanted to share his feeling and art with everyone!
