Rosewood Hall

Dear Journal,

I do apologize for the tardiness of my entry, for when I had last left you, I was rapidly falling to my certain demise. And by immense fortune, I was rescued by hitching a ride on the back of a great dragon which I discovered was a very special one known as an Amphiptere, or sky serpent. These mysterious beasts are basically wyverns but with no legs whatsoever and only wings for limbs. It’s rider, Johann, was a very obliging fellow and was happy to give me a ride to the nearest Cerulean outpost, just 50 miles outside of Fagimburg. The stately outpost is known as “Rosewood Hall”. It was designed by one of the favorited pupils of the famous Sir Alberto Mauriccio, Sir Luca Farfalle. The Lord and Lady of the great house were acquainted with my uncle and were delighted to give me lodgings for as long as I needed. I shall remain here until I can obtain passage on the next ship to Fagimburg. And there I will begin to document the ancient relic that nearly cost me my life!

Until then,
