17/100 Strangers - John

We were driving home from Pittsburgh and visible from the road you could see the red tractor in the front from the street, a red 1929 McCormack Farmall International Harvester. I didn't see it and my husband turned around and told me that I missed a rusty and crusty find. LOL When I got out of the car and started up the driveway with camera in hand I saw John driving his freshly painted 1940's Allis-Chalmers tractor and storing it in the garage. Pictures taken Sept. 13/12.

When I got a little further up the driveway I saw the rest of the tractors displayed in the bottom picture. John invited my husband to come up to have a look too. He had seven tractors in total that he had worked on. He was very happy that we stopped and enjoyed chatting with Gord. John told us that he had been rebuilding tractors all his life. A very proud man!

PS - John was camera shy and didn't want a close up........but boy oh boy could he ever chat up my husband about tractors!

This is picture #17in my 100 Strangers project. Find out more about the project and see pictures from other photographers at www.100strangers.com
