SpotTheStation: Satellite Beach, Florida, Mother's Day 2016
The International Space Station, flying over the Space Coast, seen from Satellite Beach, Florida at 4:33am on Mother's Day, May 8, 2016. This is a 2-shot composite, each frame exposed for 25 seconds. I was trying to better expose the Milky Way but there was too much light around me. Also, there are two cruise ships returning to Port Canaveral on the horizon, each throwing an unexpected amount of light into the frame: in the center is the Carnival Valor, and to the left, lit up like a Christmas tree is the aptly named Carnival Sunshine.
