Tui (Prosthemadera novaeseelandiae)

An aggressive honeyeater which is the only one in it's genus. A very vocal bird which makes unusual sounds aided by the fact that they have two voice boxes. Appearing black from a distance, if they are in the right light show a range of colours. The two white tufts of feathers on the throat are very distinctive.
