synesthesia: months of the year

    Newer Older

this is an "inside my head" view of how i see the months of the year via my spatial-sequence syensthesia. the colored areas are the colors i hold for each month (which doesn't necessarily correspond to the color of the actual WORD for that month).

hello fellow synesthete, the colours i have for each month of the year do not correspond to the colour of the actual word of the month for me either, and i never really realized it.. cool stuff. thanks for sharing!

I just found out about synethesia. I always wondered about this. I see the months in the same way, as you do only I don't associate colors with the months. Surprising, considering I'm a professional artist. You'd think I'd have that tendency? Anyways, I wanted to ask, do you also view the year in relation to which month it is? For example, since it's October now, in my head I'm standing in October and the perspective of the months are changed respectively. I'm always "standing" in the month that it is. Never on another month. I'm going to draw exactly what I see this week on my blog if I'm not making sense now. :)

You had me all the way to September!!! I'm curious- were your school colors burgundy red?

This is my shape but inverted so that Dec/Jan are behind my head. This is pretty much the same for the week, with Saturday and Sunday behind my head. I don't see the colours though.
