Is that a new Nirve LED light or a vintage bullet light? If it's Nirve (or even if not) how's it working out for you? I have a couple of the new lights on order and plan to mount them on either side of a VO front rack. I was thinking of mounting them upside down directly to the rack's eyelets. Any particular reason you used the bracket to mount from under the light?

pants, that's a vintage cibie bullet light, gutted and retrofitted with a cateye uno LED battery light. i mounted it this way because it has an "eyebrow" sculpted into the shape, subtle but noticeable. this one would have looked funny mounted upside down, but i've seen other vintage lights mounted upside down which look fine. just make sure that the mounting tab is sealed where it attaches to the headlight, otherwise water will seep into the shell.

      here's a closeup:

Did you repaint the frame or it's the original paint? It looks so new as a vintage.
