Caramel Butter Nut Bars

 

Ingredients:

 

* 1 (18 ounce) pkg yellow or Duncan Hines Caramel Cake Mix (I used caramel for the above)

* 1/4 cup brown sugar

* 1/2 cup butter, melted

* 2 eggs

* 1 tsp. vanilla

* 1 cup salted cashew pieces or mixed nuts or your favorite

* 1 cup milk chocolate chips

* 1/2 cup butterscotch chips

 

Preparation:

Preheat oven to 350 degrees F. In large bowl, combine cake mix, brown sugar, butter, eggs, and vanilla. Beat on low speed for 1 minute, then scrape sides of bowl and beat for another minute.

 

Spray a 9x13" baking pan with nonstick baking spray with flour. Spread batter into prepared pan. Sprinkle with the cashews, milk chocolate chips, and butterscotch chips.

 

Bake cake at 350 degrees F for 25-30 minutes until the bars are set and toothpick inserted in center comes out clean. Cool on wire rack for 30-45 minutes. Then cut into bars Makes 24 bars
