Bumershoot 2011 - Energy Playground
Seattle Powers Through Labor Day Weekend :: Bumbershoot Music and Arts Festival
Powered exclusively by double espresso shots and human energy, the Energy Playground returned to the Seattle Center fully charged. Partnering with our friends at Prius, fans cranked out electricity at the Bumbershoot Music and Arts Festival in order to receive a human powered snow cone and burn a few calories. Visitors to the Energy Playground were greeted by the Tour De Energy bikes and the newest addition to the playground, the Energy Wheel. The Energy Wheel stole the stage in the eyes of the many children who took turns running, walking and flipping inside the wheel in order to earn a snow cone. All the energy produced was routed into our Energy Well before reaching its final destination- the snow cone machine. A big thank you to the weather gods for giving us 3 days of sunshine. In the Northwest, experiencing 3 days of sunshine is similar to spotting Bigfoot canyoneering.
