Time lapse of aurora seen from Shap, Cumbria UK on 23rd-24th April 2012

A time lapse video I created of a wonderful aurora I saw from my house in Hardendale near Shap, Cumbria on 23rd-24th April 2012. The aurora ebbs and flows behind patchy low stratus blown past by the northern breeze that night. For one hour cloud completely blocked the view. It started as a lovely green glow on the horizon, only visible to my camera, and quickly developed into the brightest of 4 auroras I've seen this year. Pillars of green, red and blue light chasing each other across the sky. It was still going strong when cloud finally blocked my view at 3:30 am

A wonderful display. I hope you enjoy it too.
