LDDScreenShot1

$18.76- That's what this number will cost you if you buy it from Lego factory. It's criminal I tell you. I'm fairly happy with it, considering I followed all the LDD rules. As for the Nascar rules, well, there isn't a half-stud offset due to LDD's limitations.

I ran into quite a few problems with this- which was surprising considering I got proficient with LDD way back with version 1.0. For starters, pieces would often place themselves crooked- a not uncommon occurrence in real building, especially some of the trim on this baby, but I don't see why it should happen in a computer program where there is a separate function for piece rotation. This caused other pieces to refuse to "sit" which bugged the hell outta me till I worked out the bugs. That aforementioned half-stud offset was refused by the program for some reason I never could work out. A fair amount of reasonably simple and common SNOT techniques are absolutely unavailable. Also, I got this far with the first attempt and the whole program crashed right as I went to save. And don't get me started on the lack of 3x3 corner plates, 1x1 plates, and 1x6 plates in dark gray. Still, its a nearly perfect conceptionalization of the Nascar theme in LDD. All props go to Mike P for the frame.
