High Street, Marlborough old posctard mid-late 1980s

Like the Leyburn cards, I realised Marlborough High Street offered a good opportunity for cars to be unavoidable.

For some reason it doesn't seem to be so easy to find 1980s cards, but they still offer an interesting mix of stuff that's survived from the '70s alongside newer models.

The blue Datsun Sunny on the right was my main interest. Cartell describes XMW 710T as a fastback which I think would make it the 1.4 estate model rather than the coupe. DVLA says it made it to 1989, lasting the typical 10 years for most 1970s Datsuns.

I can't trace anything for the white Golf D690 OYD, maybe it got a new plate later on? The red Peugeot 205 C588 TRY was a 1985 XLD which looks to have been scrapped in 2000. The Nova saloon A586 NWL was a 1.0 model which also just made it beyond the millennium.

I'm struggling to make sense of the red Orion's registration. I read it as A54 YAX, but that comes up as a Capri which is now on SORN and with a current MoT. Edit: See Eelco's coment below, looks like it was A64 YAX.

Also of note are the blue Chrysler Alpine, Viva HC and finally the significantly older car between the Ford Orion and Escort. Is it an MG?
