    Brooklyn Green-Wood Cemetery. My only picture currently to get in Explore, apparently. hurrah.

    Jenny Elizabeth, Clive Andrews, and 8 other people added this photo to their favorites.

      Oh good grief. >=o/

      Perhaps one of her cakes is under that stone or something.

      She was probably a greengrocer before she died.

      Oh, that's eternally horrible.

    5. Clive Andrews 65 months ago | reply

      So awful it's wonderful. This takes apostrophe crime to a whole new level.

      Damned for eternity... well, the monument is anyway.

      BTW: there's also a typo in one of your tags.

      This hurts to look at. How could no one catch this??

      I really don't know!! And how could the relatives allow it to be planted? Weird there's no name either.

      Also odd that there are no dates. Maybe it's a dead baby?

      Obviously, Mother was the carver of that headstone!

      Brilliant! You've solved the puzzle!

    13. Gilgongo 64 months ago | reply

      Actually, it may be correct since it reads "One of the best of mother's", as in one of the best things that mother ever did. Or something like that. Still pretty enigmatic even if it isn't a grocer's apostrophe, what with no name and all.

      Actually, as noted above, it's apostrophe crime. Too bad we don't have a view of the other side - probably the details are over there.

      Oh no - you can't even erase it!

      *must remember to proof read any memorial BEFORE I die*
