Gaston Strikes Again!
When you see a sculpture of a woman of these proportions, you know you are looking at a work of Gaston Lachaise... I first saw this sculpture — eight were cast — at the Hirschhorn Museum in Washington DC. New York has one at the MOMA, one at the Brooklyn Museum of Art and a skinnier one at the Metropolitan Museum of Art. Another cast is at the Milwaukee Museum of Art.
I cut her off at the hips so I would not be accused of upskirt photography...
