TNO 701 Steam Locomotive 4-6-2

    Newer Older

TNOR 701 Steam Locomotive 4-6-2 is on display in Engelhart Ontario Canada at the Engelhart ONT rail station.

A name change for the railway was first proposed in 1942 by Arthur Cavanagh who was chairman of the commission between 1940 and 1944. He noted that it would have the advantage of associating the railway with the province not just with the District of Temiskaming. A name change would also avoid confusion with the Texas and New Orleans Railway, which had the same initials.

Mark J Clement Thanks again Marcus! 701 was repainted not to long ago...I'll have to check my archived photos to get some older photos of the steamer with all the original markings and decals from the past.
