Bungalows on the Reef

Tetamanu used to be a the first village of Fakarava.

Nowadays, inhabitants of the Atoll live in Rotoava, next to the North pass, 60km away.

Nethertheless, there is this nice pension called Tetamanu Village (keeping the abandonned village's name) and few building left on the motu.

You can see the pass Tumakohua (oftenly called Tetamanu, depending which scuba club, you're diving with...) in the background. It's one of the greatest diving spots of French Polynesia. You can swim with hundreds silvertip sharks at 25m down and finish your dive, directly at the pension!
