These images comprise part of a dataset of the changes that occur on Lake Erie in winter months....

The first 4 pictures were taken on 02/19/07

The next 11 pictures were taken on 03/11/07

The dark ramps of sand/ice are part of a pressure ice phenomenon. These tons of material are pushed up within a week of the winter freeze and then take much longer to relax back in to the freshwaters as spring ladles on the heat.

The last 11 pictures were taken two weeks later 03/25/07.
