Norwegian Baby Hat

    Newer Older

    Pattern: Sweet Baby Cap (free)
Yarn: Hello Yarn Sock, 1 oz., approx. 100 yards
Needle: Addi Turbo size 1 for magic loop
    Gauge: 7.75 sts. per inch
    Size: 6 mo.

My gauge was a little off, so the hat is 14" in circumference, which is more a newborn size.

So sweet and pointy! You need to find a baby to model it.

Looked just like a mushroom in the Flickr thumbnail.
Must, must, must cast on! I've some STR in a pinky purply colorway (apple blossom?) that was given to me that should work well.
Of course, I see that your own dyed yarn is be ideal, too. This colorway here would be so very earthy and sweet on either a boy or a girl, I think.

Which helloyarn sock yarn did you use? :)

I used the one called just Sock. It's fingering weight superwash Merino in 395 yard/ 4 oz. skeins.
