The Point of Departure
Here's some documentation of my solo show, The Point of Departure, which ran November 6-December 5, 2010 at the True Color Museum, Suzhou, China, the culmination of my six month artist residency there.

The centerpiece of the exhibitioin was a new audiovisual installation entitled "Self-Portrait, Dusk, at the Point of Departure," which incorporated 18 channels of video, 4 channels of audio, deployed in real-time from 9 networked computers. The show also included the single channel video works "Shanghai Traces" and "Transportation Is Getting a New Look," as well as an assortment of algorithmic prints from my 29 Giraffes series.

To celebrate the opening of the exhibition, we had a mini music festival, featuring my friends Yao Dajuin 姚大钧, Wang Changcun 王长存, and Xu Cheng 徐程, as well as 3 performances by me (ambient electronic, acoustic piano [perhaps the first time Jay Chou 周杰伦 and John Cage have ever been performed in one set], and synth-pop).
