L-R Kerry, Betty, Jovette, Ann, Joni. Kayakmorrobay Kayak and Standup Paddle Outing Sunday 25 September 2011, with Mike, Betty, Ann, Jovette, Kerry, and Joni. Launching at 9AM from the Morro Bay Marina below the museum, to the very end of Los Osos Creek, and back through a maze in the loughs of the Morro Bay Estuary, Morro Bay, CA, we completed the paddle at around 1PM. Great weather, some unexpected late brisk 10-15 mph winds, and an ebb tide added to the fun. This was one of the longer more exhausting and challenging of our recent paddles.

Will you attend? Last Sunday Paddle 9 AM, Sept. 25, 2011, Morro Bay State Park Marina. Put in just below the museum. We launch early if all voting are ready to go. Boat participants are required to wear properly fitting Coast Guard Apv'd PFD's, and must state that they are able to perform unassisted self-recovery from a capsize. Sit-on-top kayaks are thus recommended. Sit-inside kayaks must have bailing equipment and fore and aft flotation chambers or secured flotation bags. Signal devices (e.g., mirror, whistle), cell phone or marine radio, and tow ropes front & rear, are recommended. New paddlers welcome. We are mature people paddling mostly sit-on-tops and some closed-deck (sit-inside) kayaks, and recently, stand-up paddle boards, with an occasional canoe when conditions permit. We like to paddle together on the water observing wildlife with respect. Liability Disclaimer: Organizers assume no liability or responsibility for you. We are not professional guides or instructors.
