This U.S. Fish & Wildlife Service "Report Dead or Beached Sea Otters 1-87-SEAOTTER" visitor services card uses my 14 Dec 2007 Sea Otter image from www.flickr.com/photos/mikebaird/2112205672/ under the Creative Commons attribution license. This derivative work FWS card is reproduced here by permission in order to tie the source and uses images together. The conversation went as follows: Patrick, Thanks so much for the head-up on your use of my Sea Otter image at www.flickr.com/photos/mikebaird/2112205672/ on the U.S. Fish & Wildlife Service Report Dead or Beached Sea Otters 1-87-SEAOTTER card. I hope you do not mind that I posted a copy of the card w/ suitable attribution for your enhancement at Flickr to link the original photo to/from. Would it be possible for you to send me a sample card for my portfolio? If easily done: Mike Baird, 2756 indigo Circle, Morro Bay, CA 93442.

The title of the photo is listed in the subject line. It is being used by the U.S. Fish & Wildlife Service in conjunction with a sea otter recovery program. The specific product in which the photo is placed is a sea otter hotline card that displays the hotline number and gives the cardholder information about what to observe and report in the event they come upon a dead or beached sea otter. I've attached a pdf of the front and back sides of the card, which is about the size of a business card. I would just like to express my great appreciation for your wonderful photography and the fact that you make it so easily available for responsible use. You offer a tremendous and generous service to conservation organizations such as ours.
