Pebble arrangement

On Pebbly Beach, north of Wangetti on the Captain Cook Highway.

Undulating low loose-stone walls have been discovered on offshore islands off the Kimberley coast of northern Western Australia. Although posited initially as fish traps, surveying has shown they couldn't ever have trapped high-tide waters, even when sea level was higher in the past, so they appear to be more of a ritual / cultural structure. Lack of associated organic materials means its not possible to date them.
