Amanda is a walking fashion statement
I met Amanda and Leah the Red in October 2012 at the Las Vegas Renaissance Festival; Leah is a fantastic costume designer - one day the two of them were fairies, the next day they were Centaurs. Since both of these fantastic young ladies feel sorry for shy and innocent Polish-Alaskan photographers they agreed to shoot with me on my current trip to Las Vegas in December 2012. We started shooting at Red Rock Canyon under absolutely perfect conditions - wow - it was incredible. We then ambled back to a hotel on the Strip and did some indoor shooting.
What I find amazing is that Amanda has never done a photo shoot before (except for portraits at Target) and she was scared to death at first. We got her to relax and it was like dealing with a world famous supermodel after that; she is/was great to shoot with and we could have gone on for hours more. For Christmas I want a punch card to shoot with her about 25 more times in the future. I also advised her to insure her legs - they are much nicer than mine will ever be!
Note about the Red Rock shots - we found a nicely sheltered area with fantastic rock formations all around - the terrain was iffy - slickrock, steep rock edges with sharp dropoffs, and both Amanda and Leah had to climb, wiggle, and squeeze through narrow openings - they both absolutely amazed me with their attitude; I love how the shots turned out, and this was one of my best, most fun shoots ever!
