Lower Antelope Canyon is one of the most famous slot canyons in the world. It is located a few miles from Page, Arizona; visiting it is an otherworldly experience. It is a photographer's dream with great colors and natural formation.
I arranged the photos in this set to go from entering the slot canyon to the turnaround point a few hundred yards away. I took most of the photos looking up at a sharp angle.
If you have a chance to visit either the Lower or Upper Antelope Canyon, do it - but it is getting expensive - in April 2010 it was a total of $26/person. You have to go in with a guided tour but If you ask, they will give you a Photo Pass that allows you to wander away from the group once inside.
A tripod is a must inside the canyon, and watch out for fine dust blowing everywhere.
I took these photos in April 2010 as part of my Spring 2010 This Sure Beats Working Any Day tour.
