The I-90 Bridge over Mercer Island and Lake Washington toward Seattle

    Newer Older

Heading home to Anchorage from Kelowna via Seattle at the end of my Summer 2009 "This Sure Beats Working" tour in which I spent a week in WA State and another week in the Canadian Rockies. This was one of my best trips ever - great weather (mostly) and some absolutely stunning photography - made me realize how lucky I am!

The flight from Kelowna took me over southern BC, the North Cascades National Park, with views of Mts. Baker and Shuksan, SW to the Puget Sound area and Seattle. Lovely flight but it was hard trying to shoot around scratched windows, a propeller, and a lot of dust on my filters and sensor - but I still like how the photos turned out. Enjoy!

Hi, I'm an admin for a group called World Islands, and we'd love to have this added to the group -- Mercer Island holds several Washington island superlatives.
