View of the mountains in Glacier National Park, BC, before a nasty storm moved in
I passed through Glacier National Park in September 2009. I hoped/planned to do some day hikes in Glacier and Revelstoke while heading back to Kelowna, B.C. However, once I hit Rogers Pass at Glacier I ran right into one of the blackest, meanest, scariest storms I ever encountered. There was a canyon between the two parks where I feared for my life. It rained so hard, the wind was snapping large trees and sending them crashing to the road - and then large rocks started falling on the highway - definitely white knuckle driving. On the plus side I liked what I did see and hope to go back to this area in September 2010 - wish me luck!
