Stitched photos of the Idaho landscape near Craters of the Moon National Monument (view on large)

Craters of the Moon National Monument is a small monument in South Central Idaho. I visited it on a quick trip through Idaho in May 2009. Craters of the Moon is a bizarre lunar landscape in the middle of no where - it was formed by volcanic action thousands of years ago. You can visit it in a few hours - there are some nice short hiking trails and view points - but keep in mind that it can get very hot there. Enjoy.
