Morning light on a Navaho Sandstone peak in the Kolob Canyon section of Zion National Park

    Newer Older

The trail to Double Arch Alcove is on the Middle Fork of the Taylor Creek, Kolob Canyon, in Zion National Park, Utah. This is not the main part of the park but a separate section near Cedar City, Utah. The trail is very short - about 2.5 miles each way - and I hit it after an early snowfall in October 2008. I had the trail to myself until the return portion - but it is a lovely trail.
