Nice view from one of the ruins

These two National Monuments are adjacent to each other, both are NE of Flagstaff, and both are worth seeing. We hit Sunset Crater after visiting the Grand Falls of the Little Colorado. We were losing our light fast so we didn't have a chance to get out and walk around but the scenery was spectacular. We lucked out the first visit by having a great sunset and also a full moon rising. We went back there a few days later to check out the Sinagua ruins. Seeing them gave us pause to wonder what kind of life they led, out in the middle of nowhere, with no wi-fi, texting, or Wal-Marts!

I took these photos in March 2014.
