Rocky Wash

Finally...you are all saying....the last Sutro shot for a while! Between me and www.flickr.com/photos/thelordofthemanor/ I'm sure flickr got its fill of Sutro shots for the month.

I've been having a hard time juggling the hospital (my little guy is up to 4 lbs now...pretty stoked on that), work, and getting a moment to breathe and put a shot up on FLICKR....so there isn't a lot of ooh and ahh excitement with this one...but it will have to do.

This is a shot across the entrance to San Francisco Bay. You have to go through a tunnel in the sea cliffs and pop out of it into a precarious pile of jagged sea rocks and a thundering rumble as the sea crashes against the outside tunnel walls.

Its pretty cool actually. The tunnel is super dark and then you pop out into all this moonlight and see the other side of the bay, Marin Headlands I presume, and get a decent idea of what the bay entrance entails. I'm sure it was a sight in the late 1800's to see full sail Naval warships traveling in and out of this bay.

This one of my last shots of the night.....(insert super precarious story here about how I struggled to get the shot)

But in reality...it wasn't too crazy....I stepepd over the chain and sign that showed a man falling to his death off the cliffs with a large exclamation point to signify it was a startling dangerous deadly area and sorta chuckled....mainly because 4 teenagers had just finished leaping acrosss these rocks with a phat one in their hand and smoked the entire blunt while the waves crashed around them.

I figured if they could do it stoned...I could do it with a tripod.

So took a quickie here under the full moon..its almost blown out in the bottom left corner of the mist..but it is what it is.....the spray was getting me a bit damp so I packed it up and didn't try a second one..I was done

No PS...not a ton of color here but it is a true depiciton of what it looked like
