"Liqueurs de France" Blanche Traditionelle Brut d'Alembic Essai 3
A very strong absinthe (81.3 % ABV), straight from the Alembics! Interesting to see the development process of this.
Nose: Not exactly hot, but definitely warmly alcoholic, with a little fennel and green anise backed up by wormwood. Lingers into a melon-ish/broccoli-ish earthy scent that's not unpleasant.
Taste: with three parts water to one part absinthe, it's still a strong drink. Still no alcohol heat. Sweet anise supported by sturdy wormwood fading into honeydew on the tail. Impressive balance!
