P7010007-An old-fashioned movie theater that is still showing movies!

I went to visit my brother in Philadelphia for his birthday, and we took a trip to Doylestown, PA. He stopped in a used record store while I walked around.

Beautiful! What is the interior like?

JackCoursey: Unfortunately, we did not have time to go in. I guess I could at least have stepped into the lobby. Oh, well...

This would be the perfect theatre for watching Prarie Home. Please add this one to www.flickr.com/groups/mainstreetusa/

I heard some where that the movie theater scene from the original "The Blob" was filmed here

No The Blob was filmed in Phoenixville, which is about an hour from here in Doylestown.

The interior is very plain - it was separated into two theaters several years ago. The County shows independent films, generally, and is affiliated with two other regional indie theaters, The Ambler, and the Bryn Mawr.

Come visit us in Doylestown! It's a great place.
