Reindeer is a domesticated caribou.
On one of our sidetrips we went to Talkeetna, very touristy, the tv show "Northern Exposure" was based on this town. While there
we stopped for a bite to eat, I ordered the biscuits and gravy with
reindeer sausage, sooo good. Then we went and saw the reindeer,
there are 2 of them in a large fenced in yard, they both still had felt
on their antlers. The lady feeding this one had special biscuits
just for these reindeer, made of molasses and grains. I told the
one reindeer, as I was feeling the soft velvet, that they are tasty.
