      Excellent Photo!

the composition - half symettry, colours, lines and the vanishing point - stunning.

Great capture! I love the way the road appears to be a series of light and dark slices all of the way to the vanishing point!

Sara, I like this photo very much, particularly the way that the light is perpendicular to the road and the fact that you get a play of light and shadow the length of the road.

This isn't a criticism but more a matter of personal taste. I might have taken this about 30 cm closer to the road to get more of it in the distance (obscured by that branch).

      Great shot!

Grizzly, I agree with you cmpletely. When I was taking the photo, I did consider squatting down to take it from a lower angle, but felt rather vulnerable in the middle of the road! As soon as I viewed it on the computer monitor I wished I had been braver (or more fool-hardy) and stuck with my original instinct.

Hi, I'm an admin for a new group called Howardian Hills AONB, and we'd love to have this added to our images. So typical of the sleepy minor roads in this part of the world. Lovely dappling!

Simple, but stunning, and so restful. Cracking shot! :-)
