Yeah, Cap, you're right, let's think about the mighty power of the Force, perhaps is helps also in such situations...

Yeah, a Slipping Beauty wouldn't want to get to that place...

Very droll, Marcin, and true ...

    wow.. impressive!!

Impressive! When standing on Castor, overlooking Lyskamm, we thought it would be nice to try it next time...
A difficult mountain compared to Castor or Pollux?
  • kcfang 6y

I can only imagine what it's like to be walking at the roof of the world.
  • Alpine Light & Structure 6y

Wortel: Lyskamm is not much more exposed than the most exposed part of the ridge on Castor. But it is much, much more sustained - several kilometres all at 4,000 metres or thereabouts. So one to do only in the very best of weather and snow conditions! And even then watch out for the cornices that sometimes form ....

    Awesome...

On top of the world. While many of your mountaineering shots make me envious, I feel differently with this one here. I would have shit my pants hiking along that crest. :-)

-cr: Not so far from the truth: the Alpine Club guidebook recommends this ridge for "adrenalin junkies". Kind of sums it up well.
