William Donta Jr.
William Donta Jr. 84, of Oak Hill, Ohio, passed away Thursday, March 15, 2007, in Holzer Medical Center in Gallipolis, Ohio.
He was born Aug. 19, 1922, in Ashland, Ky., to the late William Sr. and Essie (Sparks) Donta.
William was a veteran of the U.S. Navy and owned a machine shop. He also built a 13-acre lake in the 1960s called Paradise Lake, which he was very proud of.
In addition to his parents, William was preceded in death by his wife, Hannelore Donta; son, William Scott Donta; and several brothers and sisters.
He is survived by daughters Johanna (Mark) Brown, Billie (John) Colley, and Jennifer (Jason) Lowe; son Robert Donta; grandchildren Jonette, L.J., Larissa, Chelsea, Trey, Markie, Katelynn and Kirsten; and several brothers and sisters.
Funeral services will be at 1 p.m. Saturday, March 17, 2007, at Kuhner-Lewis Funeral Home in Oak Hill. Burial will be at the convenience of the family.
Friends may call after 11 a.m. Saturday at the funeral home.
